The Legacy Documentation

Bejomanbe Clan

Bejomanbe is located just down from Bitchaabi, the original indigenous settlement that holds deep ancestral roots for our people. This land carries the memory of our elders, the rhythm of our farming traditions, and the sacred work of our spiritual guides.

We are farmers and spirituality workers, grounded in the soil and guided by the unseen. Our birth names reflect our lineage and identity:

Male Birth Names:
Kpabou, Kpachin, Ayendow

Female Birth Names:
Yaaba, Gaari

Our clan symbol is the monkey, a creature of agility, wisdom, and protection. The monkey once saved a child from danger and was honoured as a totin, a sacred guardian. Today, it reminds us of the courage and compassion that lives within our community.

Thank you for reading and honoring the legacy of Bejomanbe. May our names and stories continue Transgenerational
